Media Server manufacturer Fusion Research announced Friday that it has named Ron Pitcock as its new Western Regional Sales Manager. Pitcock comes to the company from Kaleidescape, where he was an account manager in the Rocky Mountain region.
NuVo Technologies on Friday named George Gavutis as its new International Sales Manager, a role that will take him all over Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Gavutis will work with Vicki Theiss, the company’s manager of administration and international sales.
Volutone Distributing named Steve Honig its marketing director. Honig’s responsibilities will include creating and implementing a new Customer Care Center, building a new e-commerce web site, monthly catalogs, vendor relations, and marketing products, services and training for all seven of the distributor’s locations.
Manufacturer Liberty Wire & Cable named John D. Dace its new vice president of sales. Dace, an 18-year industry veteran, previously served as director of commercial sales for Chief Manufacturing.
Manufacturer Wireworld Cable named 35-year A/V industry veteran Victor Moorhatch its new national sales manager. Moorhatch most recently served as sales manager for Professional Audio Associates, a distributor in Woburn, Mass.
Vista Pacific Group, a Southern California manufacturer’s representative for luxury home entertainment products, added Peter Hansen as a sales representative.
The Electronic Systems Professional Alliance (ESPA) named Jennifer Barten its project coordinator. She will shepherd projects between managers, clients and manufacturers, and maintain ESPA’s databases, schedules, and standards and practices manuals.
Mount manufacturer Premier Mounts expanded its sales and marketing team with the addition of Jim Hall as vice president of marketing and Robert Guzman as western district sales manager.
Distributor AVAD named Mike Gleason its vice president of sales. The 16-year consumer electronics industry veteran most recently served the same role for Fujitsu’s Plasma Division.
Power management manufacturer Panamax/Furman Sound promoted Chris Swan to vice president of operations for Panamax and Furman. Swan had served as Panamax’s director of operations since 2000.
Flat panel display manufacturer Fujitsu General America named Dave Cusick director of sales for its PDP Division. In a related announcement, the company said Vice President of Sales Michael Gleason is leaving Fujitsu to explore other opportunities.
Da-Lite Screen Company promoted Greg Oradat to plant manager. Oradat will be responsible for production and shipping for Da-Lite’s Warsaw, Ind., facility.
Panamax and Furman Sound appointed Doug Penna to the position of vice president of engineering for both companies. Penna will be responsible for driving technology strategy and developing new power management solutions for both brands.
Distributor AVAD named Tony Orcutt regional sales manager for its Dealer-to-Builder Program (D2B), which links builders with electronic system contractors.
Display manufacturer Vidikron named John Bishop its first regional technical marketing director. Bishop, the founder of Newburyport, Mass.-based rep firm Bishop Audio Services, will assist Vidikron with product and dealer training and education, and provide market and technical support as needed.
