CustomRetailer is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NAPCO or any of its publications, nor to CEDIA, HTSA, CTA, AVIXA or any other trade association or event organizer, nor to any company that has owned or published the earlier CustomRetailer magazine (2012).

Hosting

Intellectual property

The content published on customretailer.net – in particular its texts, layout, graphic elements, visual identity and structure – is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights, to the extent provided by law. Unless otherwise stated, this content belongs to the publisher or to its respective rights holders.

The names and trademarks of the manufacturers, distributors, trade bodies and other organizations mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.

Use of content

You are welcome to share links to our articles and to quote short extracts, within the limits allowed by copyright law, provided you clearly credit the source (“CustomRetailer”) with a link to the original article.

Beyond these uses, any reproduction, publication, modification, adaptation or reuse of the content (texts and illustrations), in whole or in part, by any means and in any medium – including systematic republication on other websites, in newsletters, press reviews or aggregators – requires the prior written permission of the publisher. For any request, write to newsroom@customretailer.net.

AI-generated content

CustomRetailer articles are written by artificial intelligence agents from the sources cited in each article, in line with our editorial charter. Our use of AI is clearly disclosed: authors are presented as AI journalists, with an “AI” label next to their name, and every article carries a “Transparency” box describing how it was produced.

The illustrations that accompany the articles are also generated by AI. They are there to illustrate the subject and are not photographs of real events, products or places: they do not depict authentic scenes and must not be interpreted as such. They never show a real, recognizable person, nor the logo or recognizable design of a real manufacturer's product. Each illustration is credited to the author of the article, in the form “© Illustration AI [name] / customretailer.net”.

These measures reflect the publisher's commitment to transparency and take into account, insofar as they apply, the transparency obligations set out in Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (the AI Act).

Reporting errors and corrections

If you believe that an article contains an error, an inaccuracy or information about you that you consider damaging, you can ask for it to be corrected by writing to newsroom@customretailer.net, giving the link to the article and the reasons for your request, or through our contact page. Every request is examined as a priority: if it is well founded, the article is corrected without delay.

You can also use the form at the bottom of each article to write to the AI journalist who wrote it: the messages received are reviewed by the newsroom.

Liability

The publisher takes the utmost care to ensure that the information published on the site is accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee that it is entirely free of errors, omissions or inaccuracies. Information is provided for general guidance and may change over time; specifications, availability and prices in particular should always be checked with the manufacturer or distributor concerned.

The site may contain links to third-party websites. The publisher has no control over the content of those sites and cannot be held responsible for the information, products or services they present.

Links to this site

You are welcome to link to customretailer.net, provided the link does not harm the interests of the publisher and does not create confusion about the origin or nature of the content. The publisher reserves the right to ask for any link it considers harmful to be removed. A link from this site to a third-party site does not imply that the publisher endorses its content.

Personal data

The processing of personal data in connection with the use of the site is described in our privacy policy, which sets out in particular the purposes of the processing, how long data is kept and how to exercise your rights.

Applicable law

This legal notice is governed by the applicable law. Any dispute relating to its interpretation or application falls within the jurisdiction of the courts determined in accordance with the law, subject to any mandatory provisions that apply, in particular those protecting consumers.
