When and where: The invitation-only InfoComm EDGE Collective activation takes place on November 3 at Address Sky View in Dubai. The event is organized by AVIXA.

What the activation will show

The activation is a live, integrator-built demonstration of connected AV environments designed to reflect municipal operational scenarios. Systems integrator Leisung built the installation with technology partners that include Q-SYS, which is providing integrated audio, video and control across every layer of the activation.

The experience is composed of three connected environments, each intended to illustrate a different operational challenge:

  • Command & Control — how organizations establish situational awareness and coordinate decisions under pressure.
  • Operational Collaboration — teamwork and continuity across multiple locations.
  • Engagement & Learning — responsive environments that support participation and communication.

Visitors will follow a sequence of scenarios that trace how information is routed to the right people and how operations continue when systems are under stress. AVIXA says the activation’s brief was explicitly shaped by regional end users so the demonstration would prioritize operational outcomes rather than individual product features.

“Rather than beginning with technology specifications, the event concept was developed with a different question: what do organisations need their environments to achieve, and how can technology help them perform when it matters most? The result is a fully integrated, immersive experience that demonstrates not only what pro AV can make possible, but how a different approach to collaboration can deliver more intelligent, responsive, and resilient environments.” — David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, CEO, AVIXA

Who contributed and how the brief was set

An End User Council of senior regional industry leaders helped define the design brief and the operational challenges the activation needed to address. Integrators were invited to respond through a competitive review run by that council; Leisung was selected to design and build the activation.

AVIXA describes the aim of the activation as making the complexity of integration invisible so that attendees can focus on decisions and outcomes rather than on individual products. Q-SYS’ contribution is described as enabling teams to move from information to shared understanding and confident action across the three scenario environments.

The activation is positioned as an example of an end user–led design process: an End User Council set the operational requirements, integrators competed to meet that brief, and the selected integrator implemented a multi-environment demonstration that emphasizes system-level behavior over component-level specification.
