Brivo executives used the company’s annual Cloud Security Summit to describe progress in combining its access-control and video-surveillance businesses with Eagle Eye Networks, while also outlining new work involving artificial intelligence. The event is taking place from October 26-29 at the Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center in Arlington, Texas.
More than 500 attendees are participating in the summit, which includes educational sessions, technology demonstrations, networking and a Solutions Lab featuring Brivo and partner offerings. Brivo founder Steve Van Till and CEO Dean Drako addressed the company’s integration efforts during the opening general session on Tuesday.
One operating identity for access and video
The combination has its roots in Drako’s acquisition of Brivo for $50 million in 2015. Brivo and Eagle Eye continued to operate as separate companies for several years before completing their formal merger in December 2025. The executives said the combined organization has been working since the beginning of 2026 to align product development, customer support, billing and branding.
Eagle Eye’s name remains part of the company’s branding because of its recognition with integrators and end users. However, the stated direction is to present Brivo as a unified platform rather than as two systems connected through an integration layer. Van Till also acknowledged that some parts of the consolidation have taken more time than initially expected.
“I would also encourage all of you to stop using the word integration between Brivo and Eagle Eye because it is now the same company, the same platform,”
Van Till told summit attendees. The company has established a common identity system across its access-control and video products, allowing users to retain the same identity across both areas of the platform.
Areas covered in the summit update
- Brivo’s unified identity system for access control and video
- Product development and customer-support alignment
- Billing and brand consolidation
- New artificial intelligence tools
The “state of the union” discussion focused on the progress made since the merger, rather than announcing a new acquisition. The executives also discussed the company’s developing artificial intelligence capabilities, although the published account does not identify specific tools, product names, release dates or channel availability for those initiatives.

For integrators and technology partners attending the summit, the update places the company’s common platform and operating model at the center of its post-merger strategy. Brivo said the Eagle Eye video name will continue to appear in the brand architecture, while the broader business moves toward a single identity spanning physical access and video surveillance.
