K-EnterTech Hub and smartcms will formally introduce the Global K-Entertainment Tech Alliance on November 4 in Seoul, while recruiting companies and institutions for the alliance’s first scheduled activity: an entertainment technology program during CES 2027 in Las Vegas.
The launch event, EnterTech Waving Night, is scheduled for 6 p.m. local time at FastFive Samseong 4 in Seoul’s Samseong-dong. The alliance is intended to connect Korean entertainment and technology companies, universities and institutions with international partners.
CES program combines tours, conference and site visits
The initial program will run alongside CES 2027 from January 6–9, 2027, in Las Vegas. K-EnterTech Hub and smartcms are seeking companies and institutions to take part in an itinerary built around the show and the wider entertainment technology ecosystem.
Three elements make up the program:
- Guided CES show-floor tours organized around AI content, immersive technology and global K-content
- An entertainment technology conference on January 7 featuring Korean and U.S. speakers and networking
- Visits to entertainment and technology companies and institutions in Las Vegas
On-site attendance at the January 7 conference will be free. The organizers said itineraries can be adapted to each participant’s area of interest, and companies may join individual sections rather than the complete program. Available blocks include the show tour, networking and seminar presentations.
| Program element | Details |
|---|---|
| CES show tour | Theme-based visits covering AI content, immersive technology and global K-content |
| Conference | January 7; Korean and U.S. speakers, plus networking; free on-site attendance |
| Site visits | Entertainment and technology companies and institutions in Las Vegas |
| Additional option | Los Angeles extension and one-on-one business meetings |
Network planned beyond Las Vegas
The alliance is designed to operate around several international technology, media and entertainment events rather than as a single CES gathering. After the January program, members are expected to connect with overseas companies and institutions at World IT Show 2027 at COEX in Seoul in April, NY Tech Week in June and New York Comic Con in October.
The organizers position the network at the intersection of entertainment technology and content businesses. For professional AV companies, the program’s stated areas of focus include immersive technology, AI-based content production and platforms associated with global content distribution. The announcement does not identify specific exhibitors, products or integration platforms that will be included in the CES tours.
K-EnterTech Hub is leading the alliance with smartcms, its collaboration partner. The two organizations are also handling recruitment for the CES 2027 Entertainment Tech Insight Program, with the alliance’s broader activity expected to continue through the events listed for 2027.
