Qbic Technology is developing a cloud platform for remotely monitoring and managing its ARM-based devices as the Taiwanese industrial PC maker expands beyond meeting-room booking panels into smart access control, visitor management, digital signage and room control.
The company began trading as a listed business and closed its first session up more than 10%, according to BigGo Finance. The market debut is separate from the company’s product strategy, which centers on combining hardware with a management service for deployed devices. Qbic’s developing Cloud Remote Device Management platform is intended to give customers a way to oversee device fleets remotely.
From booking panels to access control
Qbic’s product line began with meeting-room booking panels and now covers a wider set of smart-office applications. Its existing ARM platform includes meeting-room booking, shared seating, access control, visitor management and central control of room equipment. The company also lists digital signage, smart control and AIoT devices among its offerings.
For professional integrators, the platform is positioned across several layers of a deployment. Qbic identifies board support packages, firmware, Android and Linux, remote management and peripheral I/O integration as part of its ARM capabilities. Its customers are reached through application software vendors, system integrators and professional AV brands, with a focus on smart offices, meeting-room AV control and outdoor smart panels.
