The European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) arm of CEDIA held its 20th annual Smart Home Awards ceremony on October 23 at London’s Natural History Museum, drawing a large industry audience to Hintze Hall. The awards program celebrated project work across multiple integrated-home levels and a range of specialist categories.
Matt Nimmons, CEDIA managing director EMEA, reflected on the awards and the event’s theme, “Beyond What You See,” noting the industry’s evolution over two decades.
“It’s always a great feeling to see the Awards come together, but this year felt particularly special. When you look back at where the industry was twenty years ago, it’s incredible to see how much has changed. The technology is more advanced, but the biggest difference is the level of design behind it, which really comes through in this year’s award winners.”
Major category winners and multiple honors
The ceremony recognized projects across six integrated-home levels. Among the headline project winners, Beyond Alliance won Best Integrated Home Level I for its Roots & Rise project in India. High Tech Homes earned the Level II award, and TechVault took Level III. Inspired Dwellings and Smart Business won Levels IV and V respectively.
The top integrated category, Level VI, produced a double winner: Belgium-based Easing was recognized for The Hidden Grove and MCBEE for F-40A. Easing’s entry also captured Global Integrated Home and Excellence in Networking. MCBEE added Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Support & Maintenance and Technology Meets Design to its haul.

Additional specialist recognitions included Technology Beyond the Home awarded to Future Automation Solutions and Best Single Room Solution going to Cyberhomes.
Industry figures and attendees at the black-tie event also saw Peter Lyngdorf honored with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the audio industry.
The EMEA Smart Home Awards showcased projects from multiple international markets and, as CEDIA noted through its managing director, highlighted a growing emphasis on design as well as technology in professional smart-home work.
