Psychadelic rock group Elder has released its latest album, “Through Zero,” in a package that includes Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround mixes. Engineer Jonathan Cornell supervised the surround production, giving the album a release format suited to listeners with immersive and multichannel systems.
The album is available through immersiveaudioalbum.com. The package extends beyond a single immersive mix: it includes versions in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround and binaural, as well as the original stereo presentation. The stereo mix was handled by the band with Richard Behrens.
Multiple mixes and visual material
Each of the album’s six tracks is accompanied by a visualizer film. The collection also includes instrumental editions in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround, together with an instrumental binaural mix. That combination gives the release separate listening options for systems with height speakers, conventional surround layouts, headphone playback and standard two-channel reproduction.

| Instrumental versions | Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround and binaural |

The release is notable for presenting the album as a broader multiformat package rather than limiting the offering to a conventional stereo master. For home theater owners, the Dolby Atmos and 5.1 versions provide alternative soundtracks built for systems with different playback capabilities, while the binaural version is intended for headphone listening. The inclusion of the stereo master preserves the format associated with the band’s original collaboration with Behrens.
“Attention Dolby Atmos nerds! Our newest album Through Zero has been given the full surround sound treatment and is available now remixed for Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround by engineer Jonathan Cornell. If you’ve got one of these setups, you can now experience our multilayered music in new space and dimension.” — Elder
Elder said the surround versions are available exclusively through immersiveaudioalbum.com. The band also credited listening sessions with friends at @_msm_studios in its announcement, while describing the new mixes as an expanded presentation of the album’s layered sound.
- Dolby Atmos and 5.1: the principal surround versions are available now.
- Additional playback choices: the package includes binaural, stereo and instrumental mixes.
- Visual component: a visualizer film accompanies each of the six tracks.
The release adds another music title to the catalog of content available in immersive formats, with the same album supplied across Dolby Atmos, 5.1, binaural and stereo presentations. Elder’s announcement did not publish a price or identify a dealer distribution program.
